The first six months of 2025.
Wow! I am so bad at updating my website, yet I still pay to keep the lights on. The first six months of 2025 have been a whirlwind, both professionally and personally. First, I moved out of the halfway house in March, and a few weeks later my collection of poetry, subhuman., came out.
I’ve been in an MFA program for fiction writing since October 2024, and that is time consuming. Combine that with my day job where I work 40 - 50 hours per week with a shifting weekly schedule, and things can get kind of hectic. Somehow, though, I have found the time to keep writing and have had some success in getting new work published. Some poems have been featured in Solstice, Poetry, and Penmen Review.
I have poems coming out in Midway Journal, Oyster River Pages, The Meadow, and Lucky Jefferson this year. I have a short story coming out in Jelly Bucket this year, and a story slated to be published by Bookends Review in August 2026 (!!!). In August of 2025, I have an essay coming out in Sequestrum.
Recently, I started doing poetry readings. I have two under my belt and a couple more lined up in the coming months in Connecticut and Massachusetts. I am excited to travel and read my poetry to new audiences. I’m updating this in between working out and having to go to actual work. I will try to be better about this website, but no promises.
